Everything you need to know before and after your treatment.
Before Your Session
- ✓Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment (or the morning of)
- ✓No waxing, tweezing, threading, or sugaring for at least 4 weeks prior
- ✓Avoid sun exposure and tanning (beds and self-tanner) for 2 weeks before
- ✓Pause active skincare on the treatment area 3–5 days before: retinol, AHA/BHA, and exfoliants
- ✓Arrive with clean, dry skin: no lotion, deodorant, makeup, perfume, or oils
- ✓Do not undergo treatment if you have taken Accutane within the last 6 months
- ✓Let us know if you have a history of cold sores, herpes, or skin infections
After Your Session
- ✓Mild redness and warmth are normal for up to 48 hours
- ✓Apply a cool compress or pure aloe vera gel as needed for comfort
- ✓No sun exposure for 10–14 days and use SPF 30+ when going outside
- ✓Use mild soap on the area and pat dry gently, no scrubbing
- ✓Avoid products with glycolic acid, Retin-A, or strong exfoliants for 5–7 days
- ✓Avoid exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and tight clothing until redness resolves
- ✓Do not wax or tweeze between sessions, shaving only
- ✓Hair will appear to grow, then shed over 1–3 weeks. This is part of the process
- ✓You may gently exfoliate after 5–7 days to help with shedding
- ✓Minor scabbing or hair follicle extrusion is normal, do not pick or scratch
